That something is Earth-friendly and features some killer-styled pieces: a new trend in fashion that happens to look great as much as it helps the planet! Bornature has invented one such thing: an eco-fabric reclaimed from water bottles. This requires us to take used plastic bottles and instead of tossing them away, help transform them into clothes that we wear regularly.
Suppose you are sipping from a plastic water bottle. What happens to it after you finish drinking it? People mostly waste it [and] it goes to a landfill, which is where trash goes and accumulates her. And this can be very bad for our planet! But Bornature had a brilliant thought: instead of disposing off those bottles, we can recycle them and turn them into fabric that we can wear.
It is a very simple but very interesting process of making this fabric. To start with, they get the water bottles from recycling centers. Next, she and her team chop the bottles into small pieces and wash them thoroughly. They melt down the plastic into liquid, then. The liquid plastic is then spun into fine threads. At last, the threads are intertwined, forming a flexible, robust fabric. This wonder material that is created through this process is great for creating so many different types of garments, including T-shirts, jackets, and even leggings! Isn’t that cool?
Plastic garbage is a massive environmental challenge, but by using Bornature's recycled fabric, we can help reduce the fate of plastic being added to the landfills.
