We get warm and cozy wool from very cute animals, they are sheep. This wool is super useful; we can make all kinds of stuff out of it, like cozy sweaters, soft blankets and warm hats. But what a lot of people don’t know is that some sheep farms are using environment-friendly methods to make sure the wool they produce is environmentally friendly.
For instance, one tool that some sheep farm use is called regenerative agriculture. This is a type of farming where farmers, called shepherds, carefully manage their sheep by making sure they graze with the land allows it to stay healthy and healthy. They no longer allow the sheep to linger just one space for too long, moving them to other sections of the farm. It allows grass and soil to heal and regrow, which is more environmentally friendly.
"One more practice that is beneficial and many sheep herders use natural fertilizers instead of using harmful chemicals. Some farmers use sheep manure or compost to keep the soil plentiful and healthy. This means that they don’t have to depend on horrible chemicals to stimulate their fields to produce green grass for the sheep to eat. By employing natural fertilizers, they are saving the earth and thriving on their farms.
On the other hand, sustainable wool is cleaned through natural methods. This might involve the natural soaps and warm water method, or even the air method, in which an air compressor is used to blow the dirt and oils out of the wool. These natural techniques are a lot gentler for the environment, to keep the wool clean without doing damage.
This is why we at Bornature focus on making products from wool that are produced in such sustainable and eco-friendly ways. One cool example of a climate-smart process they use to treat wool is called "carbonizing." The product — called " [Your Product] " does not use alcohol or harmful chemicals and instead uses heat and steam to clean the wool. The other unique approach we take is a process called "scouring" which is based on natural enzymes for washing the wool, rather than regular detergents that can damage the environment.
